Best of Dog-Friendly Trails, Parks & Beaches

It’s time for¬†Work It Wednesday, and we’re including man’s best friend for today’s workout post ūüôā

That’s right, we’re killing two birds with one stone today — not only will you get some¬†fresh air¬†and good exercise, but you can also bring your dog along¬†too!

This is the perfect way to¬†get your daily dose of pure 805 sunshine and¬†exercise your pup¬†(and yourself, of course) — we promise, both you and your furry friend will love the¬†trails, parks, and beaches we’ve listed here! ¬†And guess what (!?), our tax dollars pay for the¬†maintenance anyways, so go get your money’s worth already!

Best of … Dog Friendly Local Trails, Parks & Beaches

Sometimes you take your dog for a walk, and sometimes, your dog takes YOU for a walk. ¬†So cut the ties, and let your dog run freeeeee…! Lucky for us, there are several off-leash dog parks in the 805 as well.

Time to give your arm a break and let your dog have some socialization time. It’s a win-win!

Best of…¬†Off-Leash Dog Parks

  • Conejo Creek Dog Park {Thousand Oaks}
  • Walnut Grove Park {Thousand Oaks}
  • Kimber Park {Newbury Park}
  • Estella Park {Newbury Park}
  • Moorpark Dog Park at College View Park {Moorpark}
  • Oak Canyon Dog Park {Oak Park}
  • Big Sky Dog Park {Simi Valley}
  • Calabasas Bark Park {Calabasas}
  • Camino Real Park {Ventura}
  • Mitchell Edelson Dog Park {Ojai}
  • Douglas Family Preserve {Santa Barbara}
  • Orcutt Community Park {Santa Barbara}
  • Tucker’s Grove Park {Santa Barbara}
  • Toro Canyon County Park¬†{Santa Barbara}
  • W.O.O.F. Pac Park at Waller Park¬†¬†{Santa Maria}

As you can see, that’s a lot of off-leash dog parks! Your pups will definitely need a break after all this exercise and socialization…We are so fortunate to live in an area that is super dog friendly. ¬†In Conejo Valley, and we have Conejo Off Leash Areas Friends, or COLA, to thank for that!

COLA is a non-profit organization that promotes enjoyable and safe use of off-leash areas. ¬†They helped with the addition of three new off-leash dog park areas within the Conejo Valley recently — Walnut Grove, Kimber, and Estella Parks. ¬†For more information, volunteer opportunities, or donate to improve dog parks check out their website here.

So in actuality,¬†we are killing three birds with one stone. That’s a thing, right?

Let us know your favorite hike, trail, or beach (especially if we didn’t mention it!). ¬†Hope you all have a great Work It Wednesday and, lucky for you,¬†the work week is already half way over!#spreadthelove #workitwednesday #snuggleyourpuppytoday
