Five Friday Faves [This Week’s Edition]

Oh hey, Friday! Β Here’s what we’re crushing on this week…

1. Brown & Co Designs :: Tanisha and I had such an amazing time at the brush lettering workshop this week!Β  We learned so much, and the beer definitely helped us let our guard down while we practiced a new skill πŸ˜‰Β  Plus, there were cupcakes and lots of fun, new people to meet — best night ever?Β  We think YES.

[p.s., in case you didn’t notice, her workshops sell out FAST, so check out her insta account @brownandcodesigns for details on how to register for her next one!]

2. Swell Jam :: Thanks to some lovely ladies that we met at the Brown & Co workshop, we learned about this upcoming event that will raise money for The Young and the Brave, a local non-profit that provides means for children diagnosed with childhood cancer.

ThisΒ day of yoga, art, music, food, and local craftsman [featuring some of our favorite local vendors!] will take place on Saturday, April 9 from 10am-2pm.Β  Come ready to spread good vibes and enjoy the sunshine!

3. Ready to Read :: Tanisha’s New Year’s goal of “less scrolling, more reading” inspired her latest post, Top 10 Books on My Nightstand.Β  I’m personally enjoying #9, and listening to it on my long commute right now — totally HOOKED.

Which ones have you read??

4. HOPE4Kids Run :: We love supporting local charities, and this one is one of our favorites! RaisingHope, Inc. is hosting their 5th Annual HOPE4Kids Festival and 5k/10k Run on Saturday, April 29!

Money raised by this event goes directly to assist foster youth in paying for any needs that are not covered by Medi-cal, the county,Β or other organizations. To date, they have assisted hundreds of youth with expenses such as orthodontia, textbook purchases for college courses, and extracurricular activities such as sports equipment, camps, arts and more!

5. Blog-iversary! :: And yes, that’s a word.Β  Come celebrate our 3rd Blog-iversary at RELM Wine + Beer Bistro in Camarillo on Saturday, April 29th from 2-5pm!Β  Exclusive open hours + happy hour specials, TONS of giveaways from your favorite local vendors, and even some swag bags to you early birds out there… what’s not to love??

What we’re saying is… you should be there. [and, if you’re a local artisan/vendor/creative, contact us if your would
like to be featured at the event!]Β  Don’t forget to RSVP here!

xx, Nicole {LL805}
