This Week’s Edition {eat. shop. play. explore.}

eat.

Brett and I are borderline obsessed with Reel Inn, a great ‘dive’ bar/fish market that serves up a mean fish taco – and Taco Tuesday is our favorite time to visit.  We stopped in on a whim this past Tuesday as we carpooled toward home down the PCH.

$4.50 gets you 2 big grilled tilapia fish tacos, and we like to wash it down with a cold brew.  On warm days, we take advantage of the awesome patio under market lights, sitting on long benches at picnic tables with strangers, who quickly become your fish taco fast friends.

I commute home via PCH almost every day, and my favorite landmark of the drive is checking out what ocean-themed pun they put on their sign – some good ones lately are “Carp-e Diem,” “Trout 66,” and “Tuna Guitar.”  Which ones have you seen??

shop.

I will be stopping by the Malibu Farmer’s Market this Sunday [10am-3pm] a) because it is one of my favorites, and b) because I’m out of fruit and veggies between my produce shipments – woops!

Plus, peonies are my favorite flower, and since they’re in season, I’m hoping to pick up a few stems there.  I don’t buy flowers often, but every once in awhile I like to put fresh flowers on my counter or kitchen table – they  look so pretty and make me feel like my life + house are somewhat put-together, like the people on HGTV;)

play.

Don’t miss a chance to belt out “Don’t Stop Believing” in public with a park-full of strangers – you know you want to!  Sunday, June 1 kicks off Concerts on the Green, an outdoor concert series in Woodland Hills.  Find out more information here.

We’ve got some camping excursions coming up in the next two weekends, and would love your input.  Are you a ‘roughing it’ type, or more of a ‘glamp-er’ [glamorous camper]??

Time for Camping Season - LocalLove805

We will have an upcoming post on our camping trip must-haves, great meals to create over a campfire, and how to make camping just a little more ‘in-tents’-ly fun 😉

But, before we go, what are some of your favorites to bring along?  Any special tips to contribute? We would love to try them out over the next 2 weekends — and your ideas may be featured here on the blog!

Spread the love,

xx, Nicole {LL805}
