fresh babes + photos [Brooke Borough Photography]

You’ve probably noticed our slight obsession with the photography skillz of Brooke Borough Photography [as evidenced by these adorbs photo shoots here, here, and here] — and, she’s responsible for making us look professional in our blog photos, as well 😉

Three months ago [whoa, that flew by!] little Milo made his way onto the scene, and we of course contacted [okay, last-minute-panic-texted] Brooke to capture these early days as a family of four.  Luckily, she carved some time out …

The Perfect Day Date at Santa Barbara Polo Club

I’m sure many of you have driven by the Santa Barbara Polo Club just north of Carpinteria, but have never stopped – thinking it either wasn’t open to the public or too expensive to attend, just like I originally thought.  Well, turns out we’re all wrong. And guys, attending a polo match is SO MUCH fun, especially on a beautiful sunny day in the 805! Not to mention, it’s such a good excuse to dress up (and wear that big hat in true polo fashion).

My husband and I were lucky enough to sneak away, sans kids, for a little day date and we wanted to …

[Local Entrepreneur Spotlight] Meet Lelaina from The Gannons Studio

Hi there! I’m Lelaina,

My love for art started when I was just five years old! Growing up I watched my mother paint and once I was old enough she started giving me canvases to make my own creations on (and let me tell you there are stacks and stacks of those creations!). Throughout my childhood I knew I loved art, but I hadn’t found that one technique that REALLY captured my heart. Then I discovered resin art and let me tell you, I became OBSESSED! My main love for resin art is that it takes two minds to create a piece. My mind AND

Pop-Up Fixer-Upper: Part 1

It’s no secret that these LL805 ladies loooove camping — what, you haven’t seen all of our Instagram posts?! 😉

Both my husband and I grew up camping with our families all of our lives [he in a pop-up tent trailer, me in a camper on the back of my dad’s truck].  We have such hilarious ridiculous fond memories of sitting with our marshmallow-clad roasters extended over a roaring fire, eating hot dogs, and getting into various types of mischief in the middle of nowhere.

Regardless of where we set up camp, one thing was for sure — nothing makes a strong family bond like having …
