4 ways to celebrate Thirsty Thursday in the 805 {local drinks}

Happy #ThirstyThursday 805-ers! Is it just me, or does it feel like today should be Friday?? Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it’s not. However, it IS Thirsty Thursday! And luck for you, we compiled a list of our favorite spots to kickback for a drink (or two:).

  • Bottle & Pint Competition: Local craft brewers will be having a competition featuring two of their best beers on tap from today (May 19th) through the weekend.  This little competition will be judged by you and which ever brewery has the most pours at the end of the weekend with a dedicated tap handle at Bottle & Pint for 3 months. Tonight from 7-10pm the brewers will be there to kick of this friendly competition.  So head on over and support your local breweries!

  • Beanscene: Every Thursday night Beanscene in Oak Park hosts a little food truck/live music event, which happen to pair nicely with their delicious coffee drinks and wine selection 🙂  And tonight the Grilled Cheese Truck will be there!

  • Thirsty Thursday at The Wine Closet: If you are a wine lover, like us :), you need to make sure you stop by The Wine Closet in Camarillo sometime! Every Thursday night from 5-9pm they host a little Thirsty Thursday wine tasting event, and today it is dedicated to all things French wine. There will even be a French wine specialist there so you can really impress your friends with all your new knowledge on French wines.

  • Tunes & Tastings: Starting June 16th, the newly renovated Whizin Market Square will be hosting a Tunes & Tastings event every Thursday from 4-8pm artisanal food pairings and performances from local musicians and artists. The shopping center’s restaurants will also be offering happy hour specials.  They are currently looking for more food vendors, musicians, and artists so if interested you can check out their event page here.
