Best of… Mountain Bike Trails {Work it Wednesday}

Happy Work It Wednesday! Allow me to introduce myself…

My name is Natasha and I am new to the LL805 Team:) I am helping with social media & marketing; but more importantly, I’d like to share my passion for the outdoors and healthy living with you.

LocalLove805 - meet Natasha, our new Social media & marketing internI am someone who enjoys nothing more than a good plate of food and feeling my best. Let me tell you, it’s not easy! And with the holidays right around the corner, it’s no secret we’re all enjoying Christmas lights, colder temperatures and perhaps some over-indulgent meals;) But can you really blame us?

The answer: NO. Nothing feels (and tastes) more like Christmas than pot roast, cookies and homemade bread. But don’t worry, I believe you can partake in the Christmas meals and treats while still feeling great.

First let’s be honest, the last thing I want to do during the holidays is go to the gym every day; which can sometimes be an overwhelming and crowded experience. So instead, I grab my bike and head for the hills. I have become quite the active outdoor enthusiast – chasing the high of the great outdoors! Hiking and biking are amazing stress relievers and with this plentiful amount of rain lately, the hills are looking more beautiful than ever.

Work it Wednesday - Get outside & mountain bike - locallove805Looking for some recommendations? Here are a few of my favorites in the Conejo Valley:

Boney Mountain, Newbury Park: Endless trails, great for dogs and bikes with a stunning waterfall!

Lang Ranch, Westlake Village:  Also great for dogs and biking, wildlife sightings and some serious inclines for sculpting a great bod and testing endurance. This trail is also awesome because the trails lead into Simi Valley if you’re really up for a challenge.

Wildwood, Thousand Oaks:  This is a great spot noted by tons of local Conejo Valley residents. Tons of different trails and a waterfall at the bottom!

Work it Wednesday - get outside & mountain bike - LocalLove805I encourage you… No actually… I urge you to get outside and explore our local trails. There’s so much to explore! So take a photo of yourself during your Work It Wednesday activity(ies) and make sure to use #workitOUTdoors #LL805 #WIW to be featured on LocalLove805!
