Best of… Valentine’s Day! {local dates}

{Casual & Fun}

Outpost at The Goodland in beautiful Goleta is offering a special “Get Your Freak On” aphrodisiac filled Valentine’s Day prix-fixe menu and it’s only $35 per person (I know, right!?).  Plus the bartender will have a number of specialty “love potions” available all weekend at both Outpost and Good Bar. Sign us up. STAT. Whether you can make it to Outpost for Valentine’s Day or not, you should definitely check it out for one of their specialties like Weekend Brunch, Belly Up Ramen and Buns and Brews.

Malibu Cafe at Calamigos Ranch is offering a 3-course prix-fixe menu for $75 per person from 5-10pm. Enjoy outdoor seating, a glass (or two) of wine and the casual ranch setting over a candle lit dinner. We LOVE Malibu Cafe – it’s always a good time.

The Six in Calabasas is offering a special prix fixe menu, as well as their regular dinner menu, are both available on Valentine’s night!  Three different seatings are available, and include a free specialty cocktail for your lady 🙂 Make reservations quick — we all know Calabasas has quite the reputation!;)

{Romantic yet Subtle}

The Grille on the Alley at The Promenade at Westlake is offering a 3-course prix-fixe menu for just $60. We love The Grille — it’s a very classy restaurant with delicious food and great drinks. Their bar and happy hour are fantastic! The Grille makes for a great evening and almost feels as if you’re dining in Beverly Hills — minus the traffic and parking issues. Oh, how we love you, Westlake 🙂

Bistro 13 in Camarillo is our family’s absolute favorite local restaurant. We’ve been coming here for years and years, and it always more than satisfies us:) Not only is the food is delicious (we love Italian food!), they offer amazing specials that never let you down, but the service is great and the wine selection is on point. We definitely recommend checking Bistro13 out — it used to be called Pastabilities, so we usually refer to it as that. Just FYI:)

Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is offering two distinct Valentine’s Day dining options — a 5-course tasting menu at Japanese restaurant ONYX ($75 per person) and an interactive lively dining experience (with live Frank Sinatra-esque music!) at Mercato Italiano ($49 per person).

Shoals Island Grill at Cliff House Inn on the Ocean is one of our all time favorites. It’s a hidden gem if you will:) Located right off the PCH/101 north of Ventura, and just south of Carpinteria. We didn’t notice if they are doing a special prix fixe for Valentine’s Day, but regardless, it’s the perfect spot for a date night.

Tuscany il Ristorante in Westlake Village is another great date night venue (Luke and I had our rehearsal dinner here!). We love this local italian spot and the food is absolutely delicious. It’s a very romantic setting along with indoor and outdoor seating.

Cafe Firenze is offering a prix fixe lunch for $50 per couple and a prix fixe dinner for $75 per person. Both meals include drink & champagne specials. Cafe Firenze is a fun date spot — we went there for New Years Eve and had a blast!local eats - LocalLove805

{Splurge & Get Classy}

Enjoy a candle lit dinner under the stars in a beautiful setting, surrounded by sycamore trees and alongside a flowing creek and waterfall. The Inn at Seventh Ray offers a romantic escape, tucked away in Topanga Canyon, just outside of the Conejo Valley and 805. Check out their prix-fixe menu for $120 per person for 6 courses, including dessert. Make sure to book your reservation fast! {You can also check out our blog post on The Inn here}

Saddle Peak Lodge in Malibu Canyon is celebrating Valentine’s Weekend (Friday – Sunday) by featuring their regular menu alongside a Valentine’s 5-course prix-fixe menu for $125/person (note: on Valentine’s day, only the prix-fixe menu will be available).  Filet mignon, sea bass, oysters, shrimp scampi… seriously dying reading these options.

The Stonehouse at San Ysidro Ranch is also offering a special Valentine’s Day Menu at $165 per person in the most romantic, rustic setting you could imagine. Enjoy a gourmet 4-course dinner in the relaxing lodge with a crackling fireplace and creekside views or under the stars on their ocean-view deck — how can this not be the perfect date night for a special occasion?!?dessert - local eats - LocalLove805
