Family Breakfast at Waypoint Cafe {local eats}

It’s Easter weekend and one of our favorite things to do this weekend {besides church and Easter egg hunts of course!} is brunch.  I mean who doesn’t love a good brunch? Waypoint Cafe at the Camarillo Airport is one of our faves- especially now because of all the kiddos! If you haven’t been yet, read on to find out why you need to head there ASAP.

My family and I went to Waypoint Cafe in Camarillo for breakfast on a recent Saturday  and we had such a great time. Not only is their breakfast delicious, but the restaurant is located right by the Camarillo Airport runway so you can watch airplanes land and takeoff while you sit outside on their huge outdoor patio. We definitely recommend checking it out, and if you’re going for breakfast on a weekend, try to get there before the crowds at 8am like we did (if not, they do have an area where you can sit and wait for your table while watching the planes and enjoy a mimosa or cup of coffee).

There’s a huge lawn area with a play runway for the kids too, which is super fun. As you can tell, Waypoint is a great kid-friendly restaurant.  They offer an extensive menu for both breakfast and lunch, tons of outdoor seating and a grassy play and runway for the kids.Kids runway at Waypoint Cafe - LL805Waypoint Cafe - LL805

My niece Jewell absolutely loved it. Here is she is pretending to be an airplane. I mean, how cute is she!???

I’m not lying when I say their breakfast was amazing. We all enjoyed our meals (Luke was especially happy because they have their own homemade biscuits! He’s a midwesterner, so he loves biscuits with his breakfast.)

Here’s a little snapshot of the meals we enjoyed after running around with the kids 🙂 Warning: these pics will increase your appetite. Talk about mouth-watering deliciousness.Huevos Rancheros Waypoint Cafe - LL805

Most of us split, which was still more than enough food. Their breakfast menu offers something for everyone — waffles, classic egg dishes, biscuits and gravy, and border favorites.

Waypoint also offers a lunch menu and they have a BBQ Tri Tip special on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday as well as their Fish Taco Fridays. They BBQ outside on the lawn which allows for another fun kid-friendly outing.
