Building Our Very First Home {Part 6}

So, I’m a bit behind on our home building updates – a LOT has happened since my last post {part 5}. Framing is complete! Check it out!home building - locallove805This is mid-way through the framing process which is really exciting because you can get a better idea of the shape of the house and rooms.home building - locallove805Here you can see the dining area to the right and entry way straight ahead. Below, you can see the kitchen area which is open to the living room.home building - locallove805And our favorite part, the double sliding doors from our living room to our backyard!home building - locallove805home building - locallove805And then the stairway to the top story where our master bedroom and secondary bedroom are.home building - locallove805There were a couple hold ups and surprises during the framing process (as expected, right!?) – we hadΒ to figure out where to fit the hvac while not compromising theΒ lighting/electricity, etc. Luke and I had a few debates about where to put all the lighting but thankfully, we got through it;) [Dad to the rescue!]

AllΒ pretty typical delays and hiccups as I’ve been told…Now for the completed framing!framing - home building - LocalLove805framing - home building - LocalLove805framing - home building - LocalLove805Here’s Mika enjoying our master bedroom πŸ™‚framing - home building - LocalLove805That’s a wrap for this building update!
