This Week’s Edition {eat. shop. play. explore.}

Spring is officially here and so is this week’s edition — as well as the warm weather (feels more like summer, actually)!  It’s going to be a beautiful weekend here in the 805 {as per usual!} and we have great ways for you to get out and have fun eating, shopping, playing and exploring.  We will be at the Great Race of Agoura on Saturday, and we hope to see you there! Enjoy the rest of your Friday… only a few more hours until the glorious weekend is here!

ICYMI: we got the opportunity to preview the incredibly creative and delicious cuisine of The Four Seasons Westlake Village’s new executive head chef Jesse Hansen!  Check out the drool-worthy photos here on the blog.

Also, we are pretty much running The Great Race of Agoura this weekend for the brunch-y after-party, which features TONS of my favorite restaurants and foods!  I mean… Sprouts, Rabbit Hole Cafe, Starbucks, Dole, KIND bars, Great Harvest Bread Co., Cronies… gang’s all here!

Even if you’re not running the 30th Annual Great Race of Agoura this weekend, you can still stop by the fitness expo, which features a grip of local fitness vendors and businesses.  Held today at the Agoura/Calabasas Community Center, and tomorrow at Chumash Park, it’s a great way to get some free swag!  Oh, and of course, some great deals on stuff you actually pay for. 😉

There are so many fun Spring events going on this weekend around the 805 and many of them are free for your little ones! And it’s going to be a beautiful (but hot!) weekend here in the 805, so it’s a great time to go outdoors and play!

Ventura Harbor Village is having their annual Cottontail Day Festival on Saturday from 10am-3pm so you can celebrate Spring seaside.  There will be face painting, arts and crafts, pony rides (!!!!!), Easter egg hunt, petting zoo and so much more!

The Collection Riverpark in Oxnard will be having Easter Fun! on Saturday starting at 11:30am.  There will be an Easter egg hunt, face painting, arts and crafts as well as a visit from the Easter bunny.

Conejo SpringFest will also be happening this Saturday from 12-2pm at Conejo Creek Playfield South. There will be an egg hunt, game booths, crafts, entertainment and more.

In Calabasas, the Leonis Adobe Museum will be hosting its annual Springtime At The Adobe on Saturday from 1-4pm.  There will be an egg hunt, crafts, live music and your kiddos will have the opportunity to feed the ranch animals!

Lastly, America’s Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College will have the 25th anniversary of their Spring Spectacular.  This event will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm with special guest animals from the movies, kids activities and a special show “Trouble in Zoopolis”.

Have you had a chance to get away recently?  I’m sure we could all use a quick retreat…

Gracias a Cesar Chavez, because some of us have today off of work!  Beat the Friday night traffic, pack your bags, and head out to The Goodland, Santa Barbara’s newest {and most adorable} retro-chic resort.  We got a view of the grounds and hope to stay overnight sometime soon!  If the pool doesn’t call to you, we know the brunch will.  And if neither of those look enticing, well then, I’m not sure we can be friends 😉
