Five Friday Faves {This Week’s Edition}

1. RecFest {Paramount Ranch, Agoura Hills} :: want to try your hand at rock climbing, horseback riding, fishing, mountain biking, and more?  You can {fo FREE} this Saturday from 10am-4pm!  All ages are welcome!  This is a great way to take advantage of your tax dollars and get outside.  Sounds like an incredible event!

2. Thrill the World {Ventura, CLU, and multiple other locations worldwide} :: Two of my life goals: participate in a flashmob, and set a Guinness World Record.  WELL, here is my chance to kill two birds with one stone!  From 12-4pm, learn the famous Thriller dance (hello, Michael Jackson), get some zombie makeup (for a nominal fee), and dance at 3pm alongside millions of others around the world.  Interested? KNEW IT.  Find information here for the Cal Lutheran University location and the Ventura location.

3. Ventura Harbor Village :: The place to be for weekend-before-Halloween festivities, for sure!  Bring your pup for the Howl-o-ween dog costume contest on Saturday at 12pm, or bring your kids for daytime trick-or-treating from 1-3pm [or just bring your friend’s baby around so you can get free candy… right?!]. More details here.

4. Underwood Family Farms :: if you want incredibly adorable photos of your kid perusing among the pumpkins, head here for some fall-ish fun!  Did you catch Tanisha’s post with Reese’s first trip to the pumpkin patch?  ADORABLE.

5. Rincon Brewery {Carpinteria} :: Last weekend, Brett + I drove up the coast to spend a few hours moseying (is this a word?) around Carpinteria.  This is one of our favorite towns, in part because we got married here 6 1/2 years ago (woop!), but also for many other reasons (which you can read about here on the blog!).  Have you been to the new Rincon Brewery?!  Okay, IN LOVE.  And it wasn’t just the cheesy bacon beer dip with pretzel bites — although, that helped.

Dog friendly, adorable decor, amazing food, and great beers (of varying sizes!), cool ambiance, and some killer Adirondack chairs… what more could you want?

Enjoy this last week before Daylight Savings Time hits, and we’re all left wondering where the sunlight went!

    It looks like #theweeves loved her some beer! 😉

    So many fond memories of Paramount Ranch….one of my favorite spots in the 805! (Is it in the 805? I don’t think so but whatever, let’s pretend)
