Five Friday Faves {This Week’s Edition}

We’re so happy it’s Friday, not only because it’s time for the weekend and our Five Friday Faves, but because it’s FAKESGIVING! So we’ll be busy stuffing our faces with well, stuffing {and turkey, mashed potatoes, casseroles galore, and pumpkin pie!}.  There is a lot of fun to be had this weekend and the coming week so be sure to read on!

1. The Jolly Oyster has been serving delicious oysters in Ventura for over 3 years and now they are doing a bit of venturing around the 805 to bring their mobile kitchen to you.  Here’s a list of upcoming locations:
Four Brix Winery: Nov 14th, 5-8pm
Corks ‘N Crowns: Nov 20th, 5-8pm
Topa Topa Brewing: Nov 21st, 12-7pm

2. In case you haven’t heard, Pure Barre Malibu is opening at the Malibu Country Mart this weekend and they are offering free classes Nov. 14th and 15th.  Space is limited and a few of the classes are wait-listed already, so hurry up and sign up!  They are also offering a special of 5 weeks unlimited classes for only $99.  Now we can’t think of a better way to combat all the holiday-party-food-binging that is about to be going on for the next month!

3. We don’t know about you, but we are already feeling the Christmas spirit around here {thanks to red cup season and the Christmas decorations that are already going up!}  And to add to the holiday spirit, the Annual Holiday Ice Rink at The Lakes starts this Monday November 16th! This is a great family outing or date night thanks to the convenient location at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks.

4. We attended the grand opening event of The Container Store at The Collection at Riverpark in Oxnard and boy did we fall in love with that store (and did we mention there was free champagne and tasty treats!?!).  If you’re looking to get organized in the most stylish way, redo your closet, or just buy some adorable containers, then this is your store! Not only that, but 10{fd7f0a6624fbd2224f3c60e3404acbd2207eb416c38268e7e97265ebe361b912} of their sales this weekend goes to the local nonprofit Casa Pacifica.

5. Hosting any guests from out of town for Thanksgiving?  We love having family in town for the holidays, but we all know it can also be a bit stressful. Thankfully, Nicole has some great and foolproof tips for stress free hosting on her blog post here.

      Oh and apparently we learned last night it’s called “the nard” and it is turning out to be quite the happening place. The Collection is awesome!

        Bahaha! You didn’t know it was called The Nard?! We Ventura people have been calling it that FOREVER!! I’m really weirded out by the fact that Oxnard is up and coming now….it feels so opposite of the way it was growing up!!
