Five Friday Faves {This Week’s Edition}

You made it! The weekend is here and there is a lot of fun to be had in the 805.

We are all finally back in town (Hayley just got back from Africa and will definitely be giving you a look into their amazing trip).  And Tanisha just “announced” her pregnancy with baby girl #2 (yes that makes two of us that are pregnant… watch out Hayley!).  Here’s a little peek into what’s happening this weekend…

1. Beer: If you’re looking to do a little beer tasting this weekend we’ve got some ideas for you.  First, Enegren Brewing Company in Moorpark has a new beer on tap — Succulence India Pale Lager, which they say has an intense tropical hop flavor. Sounds pretty great to us!

They just happen to be one of our favorite breweries in the 805 so you definitely need to try them out.  Secondly, Conejo Deals is offering a deal to the new Westlake Brewing Company where you can get $20 worth of beer for $10. Yes please!

There will also be baby ducklings! And demos on making goat milk mozzarella (plus sampling…yum!) and making a bar of soap.  You can buy tickets in advance online or at the door.

Yoga: In case you missed Nicole’s post yesterday, lululemon athletica and Kreation Organic at The Promenade at Westlake are offering complimentary yoga and juice samplings every Sunday in May from 9:30-10:30 AM.  In addition, Ventura Grassroots Yoga offers yoga classes with the suggested donation of $10 at local breweries in Ventura.  So after your downward dog you can grab a pint of local craft beer!

4.  Outdoor Movies: Tonight you can watch Harry Potter at the Janss Marketplace Spring Cinema Under the Stars.  The movie will start at dusk in the Food Courtyard and this event is free!  On Saturday from 1-4pm you can tour McCrea Ranch and catch a matinee showing of “Interns Can’t Take Money”. You can sign up for this event through the Conejo Recreation and Parks District {tickets are $15 and space is limited}.

Santa Barbara Fair & Expo: This event takes place through May 1st at the Earl Warren Showgrounds.  This family friendly event features carnival rides, farm animals, fair food and live entertainment. For more info, including hours and a full schedule of events be sure to check out their website here.

We hope you all have a great weekend in the 805! As always let us know what you are up to by tagging us on instagram, facebook, or twitter @LocalLove805 #LL805.  We love to see your photos as well feature some of your photos!
