Our Home Remodel {DIY home}

My husband and I recently sold our first home in Newbury Park and bought another house in Thousand Oaks, which we planned to remodel.

Now, let me clarify.  When we first talked about remodeling, we were thinking of redoing the kitchen, taking down some walls, adding some walls and putting in new flooring. However, our “little remodel” has quickly turned into a huge remodel– or what I now call, a home overhaul.

It has definitely gotten a little overwhelming at times, and I realize we’re only at the beginning stages — deep breaths! And to be honest, I am mostly concerned about the timing (oh yeah, did I mention that I’m the pregnant one!? Yes. That’s right.).

So you can bet that I am constantly praying that we get to move into our new home before our baby arrives, not after. But even after all of that, I’m looking forward to all the DIY projects and of course, the finished product 🙂

Here’s a little photo montage to show you exactly what I’m talking about:

As you can tell, we are practically starting from scratch. The good news for you is that, every couple of weeks, I will be sharing an update on our home progress — which will include decor ideas, DIY projects {my husband is thankfully quite the handy man so he will be making a lot of our furniture}, ways to save during home remodels, and more!

I hope you all enjoy it ( and that I survive it 😉 ) !

If you have any of your own tips and tricks for home remodeling, please share with me! I’d love to hear from you!

And PS, I will also be pinning a lot of my home inspiration on our pinterest account, so be sure to follow us there for even more home remodel ideas and inspiration! #LL805 #DIY #homeremodel #letsdothis
