The Perfect Date and a true Hidden Gem {local eats}

I know, I know. Topanga Canyon??? The valley? And the road is sooo windy. Well, hear me out. Inn of the Seventh Ray is one of the most quintessential restaurants I’ve been to in the area. It is the perfect venue for a special event, such as a Bridal or Baby Shower, and an idyllic spot for a romantic date. I’d say it’s definitely worth the trek.

My first visit to the Inn was for my sister-in-law’s Baby Sprinkle (it was her second baby, hence the sprinkle), and was I in heaven. It’s the cutest place in the most picturesque setting — tucked away in the canyon with twinkling lights and rustic, whimsical decor.

We sat outside near the creek, which was so relaxing. It was a warm day, but because the Inn is located in the canyon, there’s so much shade from the lush trees it stays cool. We had a pre-set menu for the Baby Sprinkle, along with mimosas and coffee of course 🙂 I ordered the Shrimp Omelette and shared it with my sister who ordered the Belgian Waffles — both were delicious!

I definitely recommend visiting the Inn of the Seventh Ray if you haven’t yet. And if you have, keep it in mind for your next special occasion! In fact, my husband and I went a few weeks later for a date night. It was so beautiful. Baby Sprinkle at Inn of the 7th Ray

Things we love: They use seasonal organic and locally sourced food from local farms, as well as healthy oils for preparation such as (olive, nut, palm and coconut). Overall, it’s a healthy menu with a lot of vegetarian and vegan options as well! {P.S., there’s a farmer’s market on Fridays in their lower parking lot too, which is where many of their ingredients come from!}

BONUS: Brunch on both Saturdays and Sundays, and an exceptional Wine List (we love our wine:)!

Have you been to the Inn? What was your favorite thing about it? Let us know in the comments below!
