Jinky’s Cafe {T.O. and Agoura Hills}

As you can probably tell by now, I am quite the breakfast person.  And having a baby on board has only added to this obsession.  The other day I was luckily able to convince my hubby to grab breakfast with me after stopping by our house to check on the progress (we have windows! and walls! and no more holes in the ground! hooray!).

We decided to eat at Jinky’s Cafe in Thousand Oaks as it is pretty close to our new home.  If you haven’t been there yet {P.S. they also have a location in Agoura Hills}, then you’re definitely missing out.  Their breakfast menu is pretty extensive– they boast over 300 different breakfast entrees — it’s almost overwhelming (in a good way).  But as soon as I saw they had pumpkin pancakes, I knew I had to get them despite the heat.  I’m one of those people who’s wishing it was fall so it could cool down and I could finally wear my boots and scarves… and have an excuse to eat more pumpkin things 😉  But at least at this moment, enjoying my pumpkin pancakes inside an air-conditioned restaurant, I could pretend before I stepped back out into the 98 degree reality.

We both ordered coffee and Mark ordered their standard egg and bacon breakfast with the Jinky’s potatoes – mmmm!

And, did I mention that the decor is super cute!? I actually got some inspiration for our own house while looking around.  It’s safe to say that eating in such a charming cafe like Jinky’s only makes my breakfast more enjoyable…

Although I’ve only been to Jinky’s for breakfast, I’ve heard their lunch menu is just as large and that they have amazing happy hour deals as well.  The restaurant in Thousand Oaks also has quite a few TVs so it would make a perfect spot for fall football games– and perhaps Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas during the game?!?!

Things we love: Their extensive pancake menu (and breakfast menu in general) and they give you a whole pot of coffee so you don’t have to wait for refills 🙂

Bonus: For those of you that are gluten-free, they offer gluten free pancakes and pasta and I’ve heard they have great happy hour deals!

What’s your fave thing to order for breakfast at Jinky’s? Let me know so I can try something new and not have to decide from 300 different options! 🙂 And if you visit and post a pic to instagram tag us @locallove805 #LL805 #localeats
