Labor Day Festivities! {local events}

Here’s a look at everything to {Eat. Shop. Play. Explore.} for this Labor Day Weekend!!

The best part about Labor Day is the fact that virtually no one has to ‘labor’ — peace out, work!  We’ve got some barbecuin’ to DO.

If you’re not sitting in traffic jetting out of town this Labor Day Weekend (which, FYI, is August 29 – Sept 1), here are just a few more reasons to say farewell to summer locally.  Check out the events and links below, and make sure to check details and admission beforehand!

Conejo Valley:

  • Monday 9/1: Enjoy Conejo Valley Parks & Rec Summer Concerts in the Park.  Zepagain, a tribute band to Led Zeppelin will be playing.  Don’t forget this concert is free (!!!) so bring your friends/family/date, pack a blanket and a yummy picnic, and make a night of it!
    {Concert starts at 5pm}

outdoor festival

  • Sunday 8/31: This year is the 6th Annual Camarillo Chili Cook Off & Music Festival at the Camarillo Ranch.  Not only is there a championship chili cook off, but there will also be live music from 3 bands, a classic car display, a poker tournament, and BBQ food with wine and beer for sale! This sounds like a festival that is not to be missed!

    Since seeing your post for Labor day weekend I have been trying to find tickets for Jack Johnson at the Santa Barbara Bowl and I can’t find information anywhere. Do you have any ideas?
