Leo’s Red Truck Garage Themed Birthday Party {DIY}

Let us just start with admitting that our sister-in-law, Mandy, kicks some serious booty when it comes to hosting parties. She’s known for coming up with the cutest ideas and throwing the best parties (which is just one of the many reasons why we love her!). And after stepping foot into her house for our nephew’s 1st birthday party, we knew we had to share it with all of you. It was a red truck garage themed party, done just right.

She decorated their backyard using vintage license plates, Leo’s truck toys, red and yellow flower arrangements and vintage wooden crates.  She even found little red truck cartons to hold snacks for the tables and had my dad’s red ’55 Ford truck in the driveway!

He offers all kinds of toppings (chili, spicy peppers, regular works – ketchup, mustard, pickles, onions) and soft pretzels (salt or get this, cinnamon/sugar – which were too die for)!

Delicious hot dogs!delicious hot dogs!A lot of the family members brought their favorite appetizer dishes as well, which Mandy laid out on the bar along with some decor.

Mandy also made a couple birthday banners (remember what I said about DIY events & banners here?! 😉 – one had a photo of Leo from each month of his first year. For the tables and centerpieces, Mandy used burlap and red/white fabric pieces for the table cloths and topped them off with red flowers, greenery and sunflowers for the centerpieces.

Leo of course got to smash a cake for his birthday and the rest of us had a plethora of choices- red truck sugar cookies, red velvet cupcakes and cinnamon/sugar pretzels (we told you she’s a party thrower genius!).
