So, remember when we did that amazing Mommy Meet Up at The Promenade at Westlake in collaboration with Vintage Grocers and The Arterie Studio? I know it was back in April, and I’m just now getting around to writing the blog post, but… #momlife.
For those who are moms, we know how exhausting the day-to-day can be, and how necessary it is to have the support of other moms — not only for our own sanity, but also to know that we’re not alone in this journey. Motherhood can be isolating at times, and it’s so important to get out, meet with other moms and their kiddos, and be able to talk with others that are going through similar stages in life. My daughters also love the time as well, as they get to hang out and play with other kids.
We were so fortunate to have Vintage Grocers at the Promenade host us for our very first mommy meet up event, as well as having The Arterie Studio create a fun art project for the kids. They both seriously went above and beyond our expectations!
We had by-the-cup matcha green tea lattés, delicious snacks, and balloons (any of you with kids know much much they LOVE balloons). Cara from The Arterie Studio, located in Thousand Oaks, created the most adorable art project for the kids. I literally wanted to make one myself. She was amazing with the kids in helping them create their own art piece. I usually have a hard time getting Reese to sit still and focus long enough to actually complete an art project (and let’s be honest, art is not my forté), but Cara was so patient with her and was able to help Reese keep her interest the entire time.
Now that summer is over and the school year has officially begun, we are itching to plan our next Mommy Meet-Up event!
What would you like to see + do during our next meet up? Comment below, or shoot us a DM! We hope that all of you who attended enjoyed the event, and if you didn’t, you’ll want to be sure to join us for our next one. 🙂
