Pumpkin Painting Party {DIY}

Pumpkins don’t have to be carved to look festive — you can paint them, too!  I hosted a little pumpkin painting party the other night for a group of college girls that I mentor, and it definitely helped get us into the fall spirit!

Gather the following supplies:

  • Mini pumpkins
  • Craft paints of many different colors
  • Paper plates (for your “palette”)
  • Painter’s tape
  • Paint brushes of varying sizes
  • Glitter
  • Cups of water (for rinsing your brushes)

I laid down some butcher paper (this can get messy!) and gave each girl two pumpkins.  The next part is the fun part — start painting!

Don’t forget to have fall-ish snacks on hand (we chowed down on Trader Joe’s Kringle!) and lots of warm beverages!

Isn’t this spider pumpkin so cute?!

This is easy to set up, easy to clean up, and makes for a fun + inexpensive + festive activity.  How would you paint your pumpkins?

Happy pumpkin painting!

    This looks like so so so much fun! I like this idea so much better than carving pumpkins (which can take SO MUCH WORK)
