Goblin Gallop 5K & 10K {Work It Wednesday}

What sounds better than getting a fun workout in, supporting a good cause, wearing your Halloween costume, and attending a big city celebration?  We think nothing — which is why this Work It Wednesday is all about the Triunfo YMCA Goblin Gallop taking place this Saturday in Westlake Village.

The Goblin Gallop is definitely going to be fun and entertaining, as well as a great workout! You can sign up for either the 5K or the 10K Run, as well as the 1 mile Trick or Treat Fun Run for kids (I mean, the running part cancels out the candy part, right?). …

How to ‘Wow’ Your Mom This Mother’s Day

Friendly PSA from your team here at LL805: Mother’s Day is almost here!

Let’s get down to brass tacks for a sec: your mom dealt with you all throughout the whiny years, still fed you even when you dissed her cooking, and you lived to tell about it {hey, let’s face it — you weren’t exactly a gem in high school}.  Your mom deserves a little extra love at LEAST one day per year!

Yes, We’re Running For The After Party {Great Race of Agoura Hills}

This year marks the 30th Annual Dole Great Race of Agoura Hills and we will be running it for the first time! This year the Great Race of Agoura Hills takes place on this coming Saturday, March 28th.  This race earns tons of awards every year, including LA’s Most Epic Post-Race Party (which is basically why we are running it!), Best Half Marathon in the Country, one of the top six 10Ks in the country, and Best Race Swag (okay, okay… this is another reason why we are running it).

Work-It-Wednesday: November Community Fitness Events {local fitness}

November is not only the month of leaves changing colors, fall weather and Thanksgiving– but it seems to also be the month of 5ks, 10ks, marathons and workout classes! Maybe it’s because we all know at the end of the month we will be eating a lot of turkey and stuffing (okay, and mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie…. and the list goes on).

But it’s so worth it! Especially when there’s so many different ways to get your Work-It-Wednesday on at all activity levels.

Whether you’re looking for a yoga class, your first 5k, or another marathon under your belt- the 805 definitely has what you …

Fall in Love with November {local events}

Fall has to be my favorite season (I know, I know – every girl says that!).  But it’ really true.  I’m so happy that we are finally having cooler weather too. I’ve already pulled out my hunter boots and scarves and lit our fireplace a night or two.  It’s the BEST.

Fall is also a great time to get out and explore . There are so many festive events in the community: lots of holiday boutiques to jump start your holiday shopping and support great causes, wine tasting events, yoga classes and a plethora of marathons, half marathons, 10ks and 5ks! Fall’s a great time to get out and run since it’s finally under 80˚- which …
