Our Favorite Local Brunch Spots

Not to sound too basic, but…

we LOVE brunch.

Like, borderline obsessed. And what’s not to love? Delicious, insta-worthy food. Acceptable day drinking, in public. Catching up with good friends. Beautiful, outdoor patios [our favorite, and — thanks to the 805 — it’s almost always patio-sitting weather :)]!

Today we’re sharing some of our fave brunch spots in the 805.  But friends, this is a two-way street — so if you have a fave brunch spot or two that we haven’t listed, please share in the comments below 🙂

7 Reasons Why Brunch is a MUST at Outpost {The Goodland in Goleta}

As soon as we drove up to The Goodland Hotel located in beautiful Goleta, just miles north of downtown Santa Barbara, we were instantly obsessed. And I mean, instantly. Everything from the font used on their signage, the dreamy airstream trailers and green grass lawn out front, the eclectic decor and vibrant colors all throughout, the laid-back Southern California facade that transports you to a swank yet breezy Palm Springs hotel in the 70’s — yeah, I’d say The Goodland had me at hello.

The Perfect Date and a true Hidden Gem {local eats}

I know, I know. Topanga Canyon??? The valley? And the road is sooo windy. Well, hear me out. Inn of the Seventh Ray is one of the most quintessential restaurants I’ve been to in the area. It is the perfect venue for a special event, such as a Bridal or Baby Shower, and an idyllic spot for a romantic date. I’d say it’s definitely worth the trek.

My first visit to the Inn was for my sister-in-law’s Baby Sprinkle (it was her second baby, hence the sprinkle), and oh.my.gosh was I in heaven. It’s the cutest place in the most picturesque setting — tucked away in the …

Don’t mind our moment of nostalgia, but here are five of our favorite events and happenings that we’ve taken part in over the past year!  And now, in no particular order…

1. Yesss-Syrah!

The Tasting Room at Four Seasons, Westlake Village hosted a fan-TASTIC wine + food pairing, featuring Syrah wines from four vineyards in Ballard Canyon.

It’s Easter weekend and one of our favorite things to do this weekend {besides church and Easter egg hunts of course!} is brunch.  I mean who doesn’t love a good brunch? Best Kept Secret: The Old Place & Cornell Winery {Agoura Hills}

The Old Place is a tiny cabin tucked away in the canyon, which gives it that extra special, quiet mountain charm. You would never guess you were 20 miles from LA! Located off of Kanan and Mulholland, The Old Place is nestled in between Troutdale and Cornell Winery (which I’d say is pretty convenient). As soon as you pull up to it, you’d think you were in the old wild west — or at least how I imagine the old wild west 😉 Some guests even rode up on horses!
