That’s right, we’re killing two birds with one stone today — not only will you get some fresh air and good exercise, but you can also bring your dog along too!
This is the perfect way to get your daily dose of pure 805 sunshine and exercise your pup (and yourself, of course) — we promise, both you and your furry friend will love the trails, parks, and beaches we’ve listed here! My husband and brother-in-law Luke (Hayley’s husband) participated in the men’s soccer league last year, after first playing a few pickup games at the Pepper Tree Playfield Park in Newbury Park. A couple of the guys had invited them to join the league so they thought they’d give it a go.

Soooo incredibly excited about the newly opened Joi Cafe in Westlake!! We have not been yet, but have heard amazing things and cannot WAIT to go. Definitely making a stop this weekend 🙂 Joi offers a clean organic menu full of plant based & gluten free options — smoothies, breakfast (UM, the superfood pancakes!?), lunch, dinner, dessert and their own kombucha!? Please, sign me up. STAT.
One of the great things about living in the 805 is the abundance of parks and hiking trails. Even though I have lived in the area pretty much my entire life, I have only just recently discovered how many great areas there are to hike. It’s a little overwhelming to me, actually. Last week we mentioned Hill Canyon in Camarillo and this week we are highlighting Rancho Sierra Vista/Satwiwa Park in Newbury Park.
