The Tasting Room Opening {Four Seasons Westlake Village}

We are so excited about the latest addition to the Conejo Valley and 805 area. On Friday evening we were fortunate to attend the opening event for Four Seasons Westlake Village’s much anticipated Tasting Room. It was perfect timing for a celebration too, since the Malibu Coast just received their AVA!

Four Seasons Westlake Village opened The Tasting Room in partnership with Malibu Family Wines to offer another beautiful location in the Conejo Valley for both locals and visitors to enjoy California wines in a classy, yet subtle environment. The Tasting Room will be featuring wines from the Malibu coast and other California locations.

Malibu Family Wines will be the resident wine and they will rotate a featured guest wine quarterly — which happened to be Joseph Phelps from Sonoma and Napa Valley on our visit. {The Tasting Room flights can range anywhere from $15 – $50}. We can’t stop thinking about the Malibu Family Wines Brut and the Joseph Phelps Pinot Noir!
As soon as you walk into the Tasting Room, you are immediately drawn to the locally made custom chandelier piece hanging above a long wooden table in the center of the room and the light airiness of the space.

The walls are covered in beautifully built custom cabinetry (which we looove the color of – might have to use that color now in our own home!) filled with rows of wine and adorable nooks to sit in and enjoy a bottle of your favorite wine.  We especially love the black chalkboard walls which list the wine bottles and tastings flights.

The Tasting Room also offers small bites such as salty olives & nuts, savory artisan cheeses, sweet chocolate bark and smokey pork rillettes {small bites range from $8 – $12}. And if you small plates aren’t cutting it for you, you can simply go next door to The Bar or The Lookout and order from their food menu.

The Tasting Room - LL805 approvedBecause of the convenient location and beautiful setting, The Tasting Room makes for a great date spot, small venue and local hangout. Meet up with your friends for a local flight and small bites, sit outside on the beautiful patio and enjoy the view. Then, you can either grab food and drinks next door at The Lookout or The Bar — or you if you’re looking for dinner you could check out The Lobby Lounge (that’s where we ate and it was delicious!), Onyx restaurant also located in the Four Seasons or you can visit Lure Fish House for some oysters and seafood, just across the street! Plenty of options for a night out 🙂
