This Week’s Edition {eat. shop. play. explore.}

Alright, friends.  Whether you saw white + gold, or blue + black, the only color we’re are seeing right now is WEEKEND.

{eat + drink}

Okay, someone just paired my two favorite things: wine and crafts! Helloooo, dream.

Labyrinth Winery in Ventura hosts a monthly craft night [this week’s craft features wine corks!] for only $10, which includes materials and a glass of wine — what a score!  Unfortunately, you just missed this month’s event, but sign up early for next month’s, which happens on Thursday, March 26.  Tickets often sell out, so reserve early!

This weekend on both Saturday and Sunday from 4-7pm, the Santa Barbara Public Market (one of our fave places in Santa Barbara!) is having a “Perfect Pairings” event, where their merchants will be teaming up to create dishes that are sure to be delicious.  Food samples will be offered… oh yeah, and did we mention this was free!?

In case we didn’t already to convince you to visit Los Olivos here, we’ve got another reason for you… it’s Wine Fest Los Olivos this Saturday from 11am-5pm!! There will be wine (obvi), food, and entertainment! Rumor has it that an intriguing ‘mystery tour’ is also part of the fun!  You can purchase your tickets to the festival here.

We are currently crushing on Blush Boutique in Moorpark, which we featured yesterday on the blog.  Hayley and Tanisha visited and scoped out their adorable clothing (at affordable prices, woo!).  Don’t forget to follow these guys on Instagram — you can request that the store hold a certain size for you, and you can purchase it later that day!  Dangerous, yet amazing.

If you happen to go to Los Olivos this weekend for the Wine Fest Los Olivos {mentioned above}, be sure to stop by the Malibu Wines Tasting Room there if you are a bride-to-be! They are hosting a bridal boutique complete with local wedding vendors, wine tasting, gifts and more!  I mean… what better way to shop than with drink in hand?  This event is on Sunday from 11am-3pm, and be sure to RSVP.

Brett and I are planning on trying out a mountain bike ride meet-up, hosted by North Ranch Mountain Bikers, which will take place this Saturday at 9am in Cheseboro Canyon!  For more information and how to sign up, head over here.  The ride will be about 10 miles, and the trail is ideal for a beginner’s ride.  Which is super, because I would definitely file myself under the “novice” category.

For those of you that prefer your biking outings sans-pedaling, make sure to stop by the newest Pedego 101 storefront in Westlake Village!  A direct quote from the owners: “We chose Westlake Village because it’s such a beautiful and safe place to ride bikes.  Pedego bikes are so stylish. They make a perfect match for this city.”  #sorrynotsorry, but we’d have to wholeheartedly agree!

On March 3 at 4:30 p.m., Pedego 101 will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony.  Then, on March 14 at 11:00 a.m., the store will host a fun-filled Grand Opening party, featuring a group ride on Pedego electric bikes! On both dates, guests will enjoy free test rides, raffles for prizes and refreshments. We can’t wait to try those bad boys out,  and especially love their motto: “Hello, fun..!”

ICYMI: Tanisha highlighted a little-known gem in the Conejo Valley for a beautiful hike: Conejo Valley Botanical Gardens!  This is a perfect place to have a little picnic [maybe you’ll take along this recipe?] and to feast your eyes on some nature (rather than your iPhone screen).
