Wildwood Park: Thousand Oaks {Local Parks & Trails}

Can’t believe it’s that time of the week again….Work It Wednesday!  This week is just flying by for us at LocalLove805! On this hump day we are happy to bring you another one of our favorite local parks and trails– Wildwood.  Get.Out.Side and head to Wildwood for either a hike, mountain bike ride, or horseback ride to burn a few extra calories before heading over to your fave happy hour spot on the patio– can’t get much better than that for a Work It Wednesday Hump Day in the 805!!

Wildwood’s main entrance is off of W. Avenida de las Arboles and the park is open from 7am to dusk.  It is home to 14 different trails covering over 17 miles.  Earlier this week my hubby, doggie Matix, and I decided to go for a short hike to the infamous teepee. The teepee hike is perfect for those busier days when you don’t have as much time — it’s a good workout and isn’t too far of a hike!

We have also hiked down to the waterfall and the caves which is great, especially on those warmer summer days. There are several picnic areas throughout the park too, including some right by the waterfall- a beautiful place for a lunch picnic date!

Make sure to head on out and explore all that Wildwood Park has to offer! Let us know what your favorite trails in Wildwood are!

You can also check out our posts on Hill Canyon in Santa Rosa Vally or Rancho Sierra Vista/Satwiwa in Newbury Park.  If you try out a new trail in the 805, please comment below and let us know by tagging @locallove805 and #LL805 on all social posts! We look forward to it! #happyhumpday #workitwednesday #spreadthelove
