2014 FIFA World Cup {local eats & drink specials}

In case you didn’t know, today is the first United States World Cup game against Ghana at 3pm!!  Even if you aren’t a huge soccer fan (like us – shhhh), it’s still really exciting to cheer on the U.S. team.  Last World Cup we went out to watch a few games and ended up best friends with all our fellow fans – we were cheering and high-fiving each other every time the U.S. scored a goal.  Needless to say, if you don’t have any plans to watch the game, we strongly encourage you do (trust us, it’s really fun)!

So if you are looking for a place to cheer on your World Cup team- we’ve got you covered. Here’s a couple of our favorite local go-to spots to watch sports games:

The Bar at Four Seasons {Westlake Village}

  • Watch all of the excitement of the 2014 FIFA World Cup at The Bar from June 12-July 13.  They are also serving traditional Brazilian dishes as well as the World Cup Caipirinha, the Brazilian national cocktail (you’ll feel like you traveled to Brazil to watch the games!). Don’t forget they also have happy hour Mon-Thur 5-7pm!

Crown and Anchor {Thousand Oaks}

  • Crown and Anchor is opening early (at 830am!) for those 9am games so you don’t have to miss a thing!  We’ve watched games here before and though it can be crowded, it is really fun and they have 9 plasma TVs so you’ll always have a view of the game. You will definitely be in World Cup spirit here.  Check out their website for the full game schedule.

Cisco’s {Thousand Oaks and Westlake}

  • Cisco’s in Thousand Oaks and in Westlake both will be showing all FIFA World Cup games.  They are even having shot specials for every country (you will probably be buying these for your new friends during the games!) and they have happy hour every day from 2-4pm.  Their website says they have up to 28 giant flat screen TVs so you definitely will have plenty of viewing room here.

Brendan’s Irish Pub and Restaurant {Agoura Hills, Newbury Park & Camarillo}

  • Brendan’s is a great pub to watch any game at- and they will be playing the FIFA World Cup games as well- with the sound on loud they say 🙂 They also have 3 locations in the 805- Agoura Hills, Newbury Park, and Camarillo so you have plenty to choose from.  You an also grab happy hour any weekday from 3:30-6:30pm!

Did we miss any of your favorite local sports bars? Please let us know!

Go U.S.A!!!
